In 2019, I began my start in talent acquisition with a small boutique firm called Binc! Binc was previously a recruiting firm that leant out team members to work in tandem with in house talent teams to help companies scale. That summer, I began my training as a Talent Sourcer, and was then assigned my first project with a company called Ripple. At Ripple, I sourced Back-End Software Engineers and made the first hire of that project! After my project with Ripple ended, I began working on a project with a company called Gem and I sourced for Account Executives.
This project was ultimately cut short in March of 2020 however, as the COVID-19 Pandemic affected Binc and I was subsequently a part of the reduction in force. However, I landed on my feet and began working as a Technical Recruiter at TEKSystems, where I learned many valuable skills. Between balancing multiple requisitions, learning how to screen candidates efficiently and effectively and learning how to create pitches quickly, I grew in my skill as a recruiter.
After working at TEKSystems for six months, I came to realize that I missed the direct connection I had with my candidates. With this in mind, I left TEKSystems, and then was given the chance to rejoin Binc! I was delighted to rejoin Binc, but there was no way I could expect what would happen next.
